ARE YOU GIFTED?
Our Talent Search Tournament for
2010-2011 has begun! We are interested in helping Artists (ALL styles of music and ages), develop music that is better
and different from what is presented by "the Industry". Stirling Sound is looking for MANY Gifted Artists
that need help getting their work out for the World to hear!
We have 2 Style Categories: Gospel/Christian,
and anything else, or "other"..
Both music genres will have the possibility of winning
the following:
6 Grand Prizes Total:
A Grand Prize consists of 3-4 Songs produced at Stirling
Sound, Inc. – each Grand Prize of services and materials is valued at app. $20,000.00 per artist, with a total award
value for the entire Tournament of app. $120,000.00.
Songs will be recorded at Stirling Sound, a “state-of-the-art”
recording facility (www.stirlingsound.com). These songs will be placed on a compilation CD, with a purpose to donate
a portion of the proceeds to a non-profit organization doing righteous work.
There will be no transfer and substitution
of awards. All winners agree to release Stirling Sound, Inc. and it’s affiliates from all liability regarding
awards received. All federal, state, local taxes, and customs fees (when applicable) are the sole responsibility of the winner.
Stirling Sound, Inc. will not pay any winners' taxes. Awards will be granted within a reasonable amount of time, and
Stirling Sound, Inc. will use its best efforts to award prizes in a timely fashion.
If the winner has not accepted any
portion of the award within 90 days and has not responded to Stirling Sound, Inc.’s communications, Stirling Sound,
Inc. will no longer be responsible for delivery of the award.

RULES:
1) The Submission Form is on our website
linked to the "Contest Page". There is a $75 entry fee (US) for the first song submitted, in each Category.
Each subsequent song will be a $50 entry fee (US). Check, Money Order, Credit Card and PayPal are accepted.
If entrant is under 18 years old, the signature of a parent or guardian is required. You may sing your Song ideas with,
or without music – we are looking at the substance of the song and raw talent. Solo Artists and Bands can submit
material in the "rough", as you will not be judged on the quality of the recording. Please include a Photo
of yourself, or band, and a copy of your Lyrics with each Song submitted.
2) You may enter as either a Soloist
or Band, if desired. If you are a Solo Artist and you play in a Band, please mark your submission material as to whether
you are submitting your entry as a Soloist or as a band. If your Songs are selected as a Soloist, and you are already
in a Band, Stirling Sound reserves the right to use other Musicians, if necessary, for the recording of your Songs on the
Compilation CD. If you are submitting an entire CD of your work, please let us know which Song, or Songs, you are submitting
to be judged for the Contest.
3) All Original Material is NOT required for the Artist/Band Submissions.
Entrant shall, by entering, indemnify and hold Stirling Sound, Inc., and it’s affiliates harmless from and against any
claims by entrant inconsistent with Copyright law. Copyright Ownership is retained by each Artist/Band for their "Original
Work" that is submitted for Judging. Stirling Sound retains the rights of the Sound Recording and any proceeds
thereof. We will work with each Artist/Band to direct them in securing a compulsory license for any songs written
and released by a songwriter other than the Artist/Band (if you are selected as a winner and the song is chosen for the Compilation
CD); however, the compulsory license is the responsibility of the artist to secure. Stirling Sound reserves
the right to select other "Original Work" for the Compilation CD for any artist submitting a “Cover Tune”.
4) Entrant may submit as many songs as desired in each category. Entrant may also enter the same song in
more than one category. It is preferred that entrant put all entries on one CD, Tape, or DVD, and it is required that the
song(s) for submission and name of entrant be clearly marked on the CD, DVD, tape, or video. It is entrant's responsibility
to ensure that the submitted song(s) are complete and playable. All entry fees are non-refundable. Stirling Sound, Inc. does
not give feedback or a critique to entrants.
5) Entry materials (CDs, tapes, and videos) submitted will not be
returned to the entrant. Stirling Sound, Inc., and it’s affiliates are not responsible for late, lost, damaged, misdirected,
postage due, stolen, or misappropriated entries.
6) Entrant acknowledges that all songs entered may be distributed
to Judges who will be selecting the winners, and Entrant agrees to release, indemnify, and hold Stirling Sound, Inc., it’s
Affiliates, Sponsors, and Judges harmless for liability, damages, or claims for injury or loss to any person or property relating
to, in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, participation in this contest.
7) Artists/Bands and/or Songwriters
may submit the same entries in both the Christian and Other Music categories as appropriate. The entry fee would apply
for each submission (i.e.;- one song in both categories would require a $100.00 entry fee).
8) Finalists
will be selected from all entries received. Stirling Sound, Inc. will purpose, with each Winner, to get their
material Produced and Recorded, to professional industry standards for Distribution. Winners will be notified by email or
phone. Winners will be required to sign an affidavit confirming the winner’s copyright ownership as per US Copyright
law. Failure to sign and return the form within the required time period or provision of false information may result in disqualification
and an alternate winner may be selected. Affidavits are subject to verification by Stirling Sound, Inc., and its agents. Entry
constitutes permission to use winner's name, likeness, and voice for future advertising and publicity purposes without additional
compensation.
9) Winners are responsible for any travel and personal per diem expenses to Stirling Sound, Inc.
to receive their reward of the studio time required to complete their recording. If the winner cannot come to Stirling
Sound, Inc. to produce the recording, another winner will be selected. Stirling Sound, Inc. will provide full residence
at our facility for the Winner for the duration of their recording, including private kitchen and living area, private bath,
private laundry facilities, and sleeping accommodations for up to 13 people.
Stirling Sound will help each Winner
develop their songs, as needed during the Production/Recording process. In the “World of Music”, we are
hoping to create a "New Sound" that blows away all of the current music out there!
Submissions
are now being excepted. The deadline for entry submissions is December 31st, 2009. We are hoping to be able to
start Recording by Spring of '10, in hopes of having some CDs ready for Distribution by Christmas. This decision will
be driven by the number of credible entries received.
